Day 3: Kanas

Kanas, located in a valley in the Altai Mountains, is very close to the northern tip of Xinjiang. "Kanas" is a Mongolian word meaning "lake in the canyon." The area is famous for its mysterious and wild landscape in addition to its legendary lake.

Transport: Take a coach from Fuyun County to Burqin County, and then transfer to a bus headed for Kanas Scenic Spot. There also is a direct flight to Kanas from Urumqi.
