Shimao Property Holdings (Simao Property) was incorporated in 2004 and is based in Wanchai, Hong Kong. It was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on July 5, 2006.
Shimao Property is one of the leading property developers in China. It specializes in the development of housing, hotels, office buildings and commercial properties. Presently, it has more than 50 projects under development in dozens of large and medium-sized cities across China.
In 2010, the company reported revenue of 21.79 billion yuan, up 28 percent from 2009 Net profit for the year rose 33 percent to 4.67 billion yuan from 3.51 yuan billion in 2009.
