Water and electricity are running again in quake-hit areas of Sichuan. Almost 50 power stations went down in the earthquake. 40 are now back in operation. The State Grid is now upgrading a 220,00 Volt electricity station.
Banks resume business in tents to help survivors
In order to allow the quake survivors to withdraw money and start rebuilding, many banks have resumed business in make-shift tents in Dujiangyan.

China's Ministry of Finance has earmarked 112 million yuan in emergency funds for epidemic prevention in earthquake-stricken zones.

Quake-damaged railway reopens
The quake-damaged Baoji-Chengdu railway reopened on Saturday morning, after being closed for 283 hours. It will allow more disaster relief goods to reach Sichuan Province.
Quake-hit engine maker resumes production
One of the worst-hit cities in the recent earthquake was Deyang City around 100 kilometers from the epicenter in Wenchuan County. One company, Dong Fang Electrical Machinery suffered some damage. But employees have been working hard to bring production back on track.
Soldiers, volunteers help harvest wheat in SW Sichuan
It's now close to two weeks since the quake in Wenchuan County. Rescue work continues, and tens of thousands have yet to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. But for farmers in southwestern Sichuan, there is no time at all to waste. They need to harvest wheat from more than 1.2 million hectares of farmland, or see their hard work go to ruin.
Commerce Minister: Goods supplies stable in Sichuan
Supplies of both food and other goods are now stable in Sichuan Province. The only remaining problems are with limited access to several of the more remote villages. That was according to Commerce Minister Chen Deming on Thursday.
