A special exhibition--"Treasures from the Land of Abundance and the Silk Road"--opened at Chengdu Museum in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province on Dec. 27, 2016. On display are more than 200 cultural relics from over 60 museums in China showcasing the history of the regions along the northern, southern and maritime routes of the Silk Road. Chengdu, which lies at the intersection of the three routes, played an important role in trade and cultural exchanges between ancient China and the world. The city is dubbed "the Land of Abundance."
