Sichuan is an ideal place to travel by ship as its rivers meander through scenic mountains. The Yangtze River, joined by the Min River and Jinshajiang River, traverses the whole province and forms a natural network of waterways.

The major waterways in Sichuan include the Jinshajiang River, Yangtze River, Tuojiang River and Jialingjiang River. They flow past the cities of Leshan, Yibin and Luzhou.
