A Carnival Night sponsored by Lanyi Ice Cream was held at Hailuogou Scenic Area on Tuesday ahead of the opening of the 2016 Sichuan Ganzi Mountain Tourism Festival on Wednesday.

Young Tibetans in brilliantly colored ethnic costumes performed vigorous Guozhuang, a folk art form of singing and dancing in a circle. The spectators, whose passion was ignited, danced as well.

The subsequent performance of famous folk songs and dances pushed the whole night to a climax.

“I expected nothing more than fresh air and beautiful sceneries from Hailuogou. The performance this night is very surprising and is great fun,” said a tourist.

The 2016 Sichuan Ganzi Mountain Tourism Festival is sponsored by the People’s Government of Ganzi and Sichuan Tourism Bureau, and organized by Ganzi Tourism Board and Hailuogou Administration Board.

During the festival, a conference on Ganzi’s sustainable development and a professional forum on self-driving tours around Ganzi will also be held. Self-driving tours around Ganzi will also be organized along selected routes.
