French slackliner Lucas Milliard has set a new Guinness World Record for clocking the fastest time to complete a demanding 100m slackline walk in Hailuogou Scenic Area, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province.

Milliard challenged the 2.5-centimeter-wide webbing suspended 150 meters above the ground between two piers of the Hailuogou Valley Bridge on June 12.

The competitor accomplished the mission impossible with one minute and 59 seconds on his second attempt of three chances. This is also the first Guinness World Record made in Ganzi.

Nathan Paulin, another French athlete and the world record holder for the longest slackline walk, failed in vain.

The competition is a highlight of the 2016 Hailuogou Sino-France Challenge Slackline, which is regared as the most challengeable of its kind in the world, as the walk route--"the Soul of Minya Konka"--is 820 meters long and 3,600 meters above sea level.
