The French automaker Citro?n is going into this year's game with a new concept car- Citro?n Numéro 9. The high-end sedan is designed to be the flagship of the company's current DS line-up, which includes DS3, DS4 and DS5. The model was inspired by the Metropolis concept unveiled at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Designed to have a new take on the "shooting brake body style," the Numéro 9 is distinctive, dynamic and eye-catching in styling. It features plug-in full-hybrid technology, which combines a 225-hp 1.6L petrol engine powering the front wheels with a lithium-ion powered electric motor on the rear axle to deliver another 70 hp. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in merely 5.4 seconds.

It's likely that the concept will be introduced to China as the company is launching the DS line-up cars there this year.
