Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman has pledged not to use force against the protestors as the country's political unrest is still unfolding, ABC News reported on Thursday.

"We will not use any violence against them," Suleiman told the U.S. news network in an interview. "We will ask them to go home. And we'll ask their parents to ask them to go home."

But he also acknowledged that the process could take time, referring to the increasingly perilous situation as anti-and pro-government protestors continue to clash.

The vice president denied that pro-government people killed protesters. "They behaved very well," he said.

Meanwhile, U.S. Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Mike Mullen told "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central channel that Egyptian military leaders have assured him that they have no intention to shoot at the protestors.
