Pakistan will send two special planes to Egypt on Thursday to bring back stranded nationals in the violence-hit country, officials said.

Two special Pakistani International Airlines (PIA) will evacuate hundreds of Pakistanis who requested for assistance, reports said, as situation remains tensed in Egypt with more rallies planned in Cairo for Friday.

At least 102 people died in the week-long street protests in Egypt, reports said.

Two PIA planes will be sent Thursday evening and the repatriation of stranded Pakistanis will begin on Friday, the airlines sources said.

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani had ordered sending the planes after a request from the Pakistani ambassador in Cairo, Sima Naqvi.

Naqvi said that those Pakistanis will be sent homes who had contacted the diplomatic missions and sought repatriation.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo is in touch with members of the Pakistani community, who all are safe, Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Basit has said.

"We are closely following the developments in Egypt," the Pakistani spokesman told local media.

Pakistani ambassador in Cairo said that several Pakistanis, who worked for private institutions, have left Egypt on their own and several others said they will remain despite violence.
