Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday urged the Egyptian government to satisfy its people's demands and restore peace and stability, local media reported.

"You should take the first step for restoring peace, security and stability of Egypt without giving any chance for exploiters, evil circles and those who have dark scenarios on Egypt," Erdogan was quoted by the Anatolia news agency as telling a meeting here.

The government should meet people's demand for change without any hesitation, he added.

Mass protests in Egypt enters a second week on Tuesday demanding an end to the 30-year-old rule of President Hosni Mubarak, following the toppling of former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali last month due to mass protests over unemployment, price hike and corruption.

Turkey has sent seven planes to bring nearly 2,000 nationals stranded in Egypt to Turkey since the weekend.

Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan said Tuesday factories of Turkish investors in Egypt and Tunisia were not damaged during the unrest, Anatolia reported.
