Zhongtaichan Temple, Nantou county

Located in Puli town, Nantou county, Zhongtaichan Temple is a large Buddhist temple combining the Eastern and Western architectural styles. It is one of the gathering places for pilgrims and visitors on the first day of Chinese New Year. The manner of the building fully reflects the blend of arts, religion and Zen Buddhism. Besides the amazing architecture, it is also well known for the completed infrastructure, which includes a mediation room, the Hall of the Four Heavenly Kings, the Hall of the Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Hall of the Buddhas of the Three Ages, a dining room and the lecture hall.
