Over 7,000 construction workers equipped with an army of trucks and excavators worked around the clock. China's state broadcaster livestreamed the progress, which quickly went viral online. Calling themselves "online supervisors," Chinese citizens kept a close eye on the building work and shared their feelings in the comment section.
