Tianmu Mountain, or Mogan Mountain (the branch of the Tianmu Mountain), lies in Deqing County of northern Zhejiang Province. Enjoying a mild monsoon climate, it is warm in winter and cool in summer.

The mountain is known as "a natural botanic garden" as it is home to the more than 2,000 plant species that grow there. It is also a paradise for several hundreds of animal and bird species, 30 of which are endangered such as the cloud leopard and the black muntjac. It is known as one of the four most famous summer resorts in all of China and has a reputation for being "a pleasantly cool world."
