Twilight has attained immense popularity and commercial success around the world since the release of the first novel in 2005, which was translated into 38 languages.American author Stephenie Meyer is famous for her vampire romance series Twilight. She was ranked 49th in Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People" list in 2008.
Meyer made 12 million yuan (1.8 million US dollars) in royalties in the Chinese mainland over the past ten years through 2010.
