Chinese paddlers have all succeeded against foreign opposition to sail through the first round of the ITTF Pro Tour Croatian Open.

The only casualty in the first round held Friday morning (Beijing Time) was 14-year-old Liu Shiwen who lost to teammate Li Xiaoxia.

In the doubles competitions, the newly paired Chinese duos also put on an outstanding show, with three pairs reaching the final eight in both the men's and women's doubles.
