Botafogo beat Tigres 2-1 in the fourth round at the Rio de Janeiro state championship on Wednesday.
Having come from a humiliating 6-0 loss to Vasco da Gama last Sunday, Botafogo showed a different look in the match, scoring in the 14th minute of play when Herrera picked up a rebound to make it 1-0.
Botafogo scored their second goal in the 51st minute when Antonio Carlos headed home.
Tigres scored their only goal of the game in the 86th minute.
