| The exterior curtain walls of the Portugal Pavilion are decorated with walls of cork, a Portuguese-sourced, recyclable and environmentally friendly material, in the World Expo in Shanghai, east China, on May 1, 2010. The low-carbon concept prevails in the Shanghai World Expo. Facade design of pavilions in the World Expo Park presents characteristic low-carbon details in accordence with materials, functions and cultural backgrounds.
