Editor's note: Leung Chun-ying was officially declared the winner of the election for the fourth-term Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on March 25, 2012. Leung?took office on July 1, the 15th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. Cleanly dressed and well built, Leung projects a persona of aloofness, and many believe him to be stern and conforming to stereotypes. However, people who are familiar with him air different views: he is sympathetic and straightforward.

In August 2007, Leung published his first book “Our Home is Hong Kong,” which was symbolic of his love to Hong Kong and its people. "To build a long-term and stable Hong Kong, we not only need engineering construction, but also a call for public unity. In the past, we have only regarded Hong Kong as our shelter. In Hong Kong, Leung was viewed as the first person who adhered to and advocated the policy of "exchanging with the mainland".
