3. Watching lanterns
Watching lanterns is a popular activity across the country on the Lantern Festival. Lanterns of all shapes and sizes are hung on trees or placed in the streets. Lantern-making competitions are also held in many places to see which is the best designed or which is chosen as the favorite by locals. Children carry lanterns they made themselves or bought from a shop as they happily play together with friends or family members.
