The Duku Highway : A journey through four seasons, where the weather changes every 10 miles
The Duku Highway, or Dushanzi-Kuqa Highway, connects northern and southern Xinjiang. It crosses the Tianshan Mountains and brings together nearly every type of landscape imaginable. As you travel along the highway you will bear witness to deserts, gobi plains, alpine valleys, snow-capped peaks, lakes, forests, grasslands, and even unique yardang formations.
