All the major events and special activities of the 15th Western China International Fair have been successfully concluded. More than 60,000 domestic and foreign guests from 98 countries and regions came to the fair.

Separated into two stages, the fair went through a major reform. The first stage ended on October 26. After three days of intense replacement, the second stage was scheduled on Oct.30 and finished on Nov. 3.

The second stage focused mainly on goods, with trade cooperation highlighted. The agricultural product pavilion, jewellery pavilion, international and domestic boutique pavilions, home goods pavilion presented gifts and crafts, furniture, fashion, leisure and tourism as well as food health products to the public. A total of 6,440 enterprises from 41 countries and regions covered an exhibition area of 120,000 square meters, among which 1,707 foreign exhibitors covered 38,100 square meters. Particularly notable was that the Chinese organic product exhibition made its debut in the fair, with lots of organic fruits, tea, vegetables, livestock products, agricultural products and processed products.

It was reported that 1,067 projects were signed in the fair, with investment contracts totaling 805.09 billion yuan (RMB), an increase of 131 percent and 43 percent respectively. Among them, the 1,014 domestic investment projects totaled 763.96 billion yuan, and the 53 foreign investment projects, 41.13 billion yuan.

As a bridge between western China and the world, the fair has brought together various factors of production and become an important window for the west.
