Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on Friday that Poland sympathizes with the international community's efforts to prevent bloodshed in Syria and hopes for the resumption of the peace process in the country.

Sikorski reminded that Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on Wednesday that Poland will not participate in any type of military intervention in Syria.

He added that Poland was following the situation closely and was awaiting a report on the situation by UN inspectors.
