The body of another Filipino died from the earthquake in Haiti was retrieved from the rubble of the collapsed United Nations headquarters there, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday.

Found were the remains of Philippine peacekeeper Navy Petty Officer Pearlie Panangui, who works as a data processing technician. Panangui's body was recovered by rescue operators early Tuesday morning.

Earlier, the body of Mr. Jerome Yap was recovered by search and rescue teams in the rubbles several hours after the bodies of the special representative of the U.N. Secretary General, Hedi Annabi, and several others were pulled out of the ruins.

Yap was a United Nations staff member serving with the U.N. Stabilization Mission in Haiti. Yap's family in Pampanga had been contacted.

Department of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Esteban Conejos said repatriation of the remains of the two Filipinos to the Philippines is being arranged.

Still missing are Philippine peacekeeping contingent members Sergeant Janice Arocena and Sergeant Eustacio Bermudez, and Grace Fabian and Geraldine Lalican, who both worked at the collapsed Carribean Supermarket.

Conejos said efforts are ongoing to rescue the four Filipinos.

There are at least 462 Filipino workers and peacekeepers in Haiti.
