BISHKEK, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan said it has approved the voting results of the early parliamentary elections, with 87 candidates elected, according to a resolution it adopted Wednesday.

The CEC recognized the elections in 30 multi-member constituencies, but the results in the 13th constituency were declared invalid due to violations of electoral law, the resolution said.

A total of 1,584,446 voters participated in the vote, representing 36.90 percent of the more than 4 million citizens registered on the voter list.

The CEC opened 2,492 polling stations, 27 remote voting stations across the country and 100 polling stations abroad.

According to the CEC, 460 candidates participated in the elections held in 30 multi-member constituencies, with three deputies elected in each under a majoritarian system.

On Sept. 25, Kyrgyzstan's parliament voted to dissolve itself, citing concerns over the close timing of the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.

On Sept. 30, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree to hold parliamentary elections on Nov. 30.

Kyrgyzstan's unicameral parliament, the Jogorku Kenesh, consists of 90 members elected for five-year terms. Enditem
