KABUL, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Afghan police have destroyed two drug processing laboratories and seized about 27 kg of methamphetamine (ICE) in Bakwa district of western Farah province, according to a statement from the Ministry of Interior Affairs issued Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, counter-narcotics police raided the alleged sites and subsequently destroyed the labs, said the statement, adding that the authorities discovered more than 315 liters of illicit chemical products used in drug production and set fire to the materials.
Additionally, six individuals were taken into custody on charges of involvement in the narcotics business and trafficking across multiple provinces. Police also confiscated 14 kg of illicit drugs from the suspects, the statement added. Enditem
