SALE, Morocco, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI on Monday ordered the dispatch of additional humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement from the Moroccan foreign ministry, the shipment includes about 100 tons of food and medical supplies, with priority given to vulnerable groups such as infants and children.
The aid was loaded the same day at the First Royal Air Force Base in Sale, a city north of the capital Rabat. A pilot told Xinhua that the aid will be airlifted to Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport before being transferred overland to Gaza.
Since the latest outbreak of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Morocco has provided humanitarian assistance to Palestinians on multiple occasions. Enditem
