KABUL, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Police have discovered illegal drugs and military equipment during a series of operations in Afghanistan's eastern Parwan province and arrested four individuals, a statement of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said Sunday.
The contraband, which included 20 kg of hashish, military equipment such as 23 pieces of mortar mines and five pieces of 82-mm caliber gun, and hundreds of pieces of stimulant tablets locally known as "Tablet K," have been discovered during a series of operations in Jabal Siraj and Salang districts, the statement posted on the ministry's X account said.
Police have taken into custody four people on charges of involvement in illegal activities such as smuggling and selling contraband, the statement said. Enditem
