VIENTIANE, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Laos' Ministry of Education and Sports, in collaboration with development partners, will launch a new project to promote gender equality through life skills education.
The project is scheduled to run from July 2025 to June 2029 in the target provinces of Luang Prabang and Champasak, according to a report released by the ministry on Monday.
The initiative underscores the ministry's continued commitment to human resource development in Laos' education and sports sectors. It aims to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, particularly at the primary and secondary levels, in line with national development goals.
The ministry is calling on all stakeholders to work together to ensure the project's effective and meaningful implementation. By promoting essential life skills, such as leadership, communication, cooperation, analytical thinking, and decision-making, the initiative aims to equip students with the tools they need to navigate modern society with confidence and resilience.
In addition to benefiting students, the project is expected to support sustainable teacher development and enhance the overall quality of general education across the country. Enditem
