Kyrgyzstan to hold SCO media forum
A media forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held on May 24 in Kyrgyzstan's capital Bishkek, the country's Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism said Wednesday.
Officials and media experts of the SCO countries, as well as representatives of the SCO Secretariat, have been invited to the forum with a main topic of "The Role of the Media in the Development of the SCO," said the press service of the ministry in a report.
The discussions will be concentrated on modern media development trends and approaches to developing common information space of the SCO.
During the forum, panel discussions are expected to be expanded on the following topics: "Dynamic promotion of the SCO platform through media resources of the SCO countries" and "Creating a single platform for effective interaction between the media of the SCO countries," said the report.
Kyrgyzstan presides over the SCO in 2019 and the summit of this year will be held in Bishkek in June.
