A New Zealand air force P-3 Orion aircraft on Friday spotted objects in the search area west off Perth with identity to be established, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said on its Twitter.

The aircraft will land in the airbase of Pearce near Perth soon and the AMSA is awaiting the imagery of the sightings.

The objects potentially linked to the missing Malaysian jetliner MH370 will likely be confirmed by ship on Saturday.
