Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Tuesday that his government has no intention to hide information from the family members of the passengers on board missing flight MH370.

Addressing Parliament, Najib said "Our priority, after confirming that the incident happened in the Indian Ocean, is to focus in this area."

"The search area is very challenging. We need exceptional support."

The black box is the only way to find the answers as to what happened to the aircraft, and no theories can be substantiated yet, Najib said.

The Malaysian prime minister reaffirmed that his country is very committed to the search for the black box.

"This is not the time to politicise the issue. It is time for us to show our solidality with families of those on board MH370."

All information on MH370 will be provided in the shorties time possible, the prime minister said

He also said Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott called him Tuesday morning and offered again all assistance.

The Boeing 777-200 aircraft, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members, including 154 Chinese, went missing en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8.
