Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood (MB)'s presidential candidate Mohamed Morsi got 30 percent of the votes in the polls, a media official of the group told Xinhua on Friday.

The MB official said Ahmed Shafiq, last prime minister of the age of ex-President Hosni Mubarak, ranked the second with 22 percent, former MB senior member Aboul Fotouh got 17 percent and former Arab League chief Amr Moussa got 12 percent, he added.

According to the MB numbers, Morsi and Shafiq will enter the run-off round scheduled for June 16 and 17.

Vote counting immediately started in polling stations after the voting ended on Thursday night. The counting was conducted at the presence of judges, observers of different candidates or representatives of civil society organizations.

The Higher Presidential Elections Commission is expected to officially announce the final results on Tuesday.
