China calls on relevant parties in Yemen to restore the country's stability at an early date through political dialogue, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said on Wednesday.

Jiang said China welcomes the signing of the ceasefire.

"China hopes relevant parties will resolve differences through dialogue and consultation and other political means," Jiang said.

The Yemeni government signed a ceasefire with the dissident army and opposition rebels in the capital Sanaa on Oct. 25, the Yemeni Defense Ministry said.
