Pakistani PM: attacks can not deter anti-terror war

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday condemned bomb attacks on security personnel in the country's northwest and said "such cowardly acts could not undermine the war against these elements."
Officials said that death toll in twin attacks on the training center of Frontier Forces (FC) in the town of Shabqadar reached 70 and 100 more were injured.
According to the PM office, The prime minister said that the militants have no regard for the human life or religion and they are pursuing their own nefarious agenda.
The prime minister reiterated the government's resolve to fight against militancy and said that morale of the masses is high which is providing impetus to the government's efforts to eliminate the militancy and extremism from the country.
He strongly condemned the blasts and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives. He condoled with families of the deceased and ordered the concerned authorities to look into the matter and furnish report at the earliest. He also ordered the concerned authorities to provide best medical facilities to the injured.
District Coordination Officer Nisar Marwat confirmed that 68 security personnel from were killed and over 100 were injured. Local TV channels said that death toll has reached 70. FC falls under the federal government and performs security duties across the country, mostly in northwest and southwestern parts of the country.
A police officer in the region, Jehanzb Khan, said that FC recruits were supposed to be deployed on duties after holidays.
Police sources said that the attackers had intelligence about the timings of the FC men, who were set to go homes on holidays before formally assuming duties.
