A Guinean student is on a 48-hour hunger strike against the UN Security Council's recent decision to impose no-fly zone over Libya and the bombing of the North African country by France and the United States.

Mohamed Turay, a student in Kankan in upper Guinea, announced his protest strike on Saturday, describing the act against Libya as unjust and interference into Libyan's internal affair.

He accused the UN and France of being the main brain behind the action and the United States of seizing the opportunity to strike a sovereign state. The western world, he said, are hell-bent to rob Libya of its oil.

Mohamed said if nothing comes out of his 48-hour hunger strike, he will resort to another action to attract the attention of the world against the UN resolution.

Meanwhile, 21 Guineans returned to the country on Friday night from Libya. One of the returnees described the faith of foreigners in Libya as pathetic and dangerous.

Ibrahima Diakkite called on the Guinean government to immediately repatriate their colleagues stranded in Libya.

Another returnee asked the Guinean authorities to sack the Guinean ambassador to Egypt, whom he accused of disowning them in Libya.
