Obama expresses condolences to Medvedev on airport attack

U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday called his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev, expressing his "deepest condolences" on Monday's terrorist attack at a Moscow airport, according to a White House statement.
During the call, Obama reaffirmed his strong condemnation of this "outrageous attack on innocent civilians" and his commitment to work with Russia in combating terrorism, said the statement.
He also congratulated Medvedev on Tuesday's approval of the new START treaty in the lower house of the Russian parliament. The treaty was approved by the U.S. Senate at the end of last year.
A suicide bombing killed 35 and injured over 100 at Moscow's busiest Domodedovo airport on Monday. It was the second deadly attack in the Russian capital within a year.
President Medvedev vowed on Tuesday that the attackers behind Monday's deadly blast must be eliminated.
