Iran, G5+1 still negotiating on venue, agenda of upcoming talks

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman said Tuesday that Iran and the five UN Security Council permanent members and Germany (G5+1) are still negotiating on the venue and agenda of the upcoming talks.
Addressing the weekly press conference, Ramin Mehmanparast said that "The negotiating teams from Iran and G5+1 are discussing the issues ... (but) no accurate details about the agreements have been released yet."
Upon revealing the agreements on the venue and agenda of the talks, it will be announced in due course, said Mehmanparast.
On Monday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that agreement has been reached on the date of the talks, but their content and venue are yet to be negotiated. He said that Iran will never negotiate over enriching uranium, which is its non-negotiable right.
European Union (EU) foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton has agreed to a proposal to meet with Iran's chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili on Dec. 5, probably in Switzerland, turning down Iranian suggestion of meeting in Istanbul.
The U.S. State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said on Monday that the United States is still waiting for a confirmation from Iran on the potential talks with major powers designed to solve the current nuclear standoff.
"We have offered a date. We've offered locations to (Iran). And we are awaiting for a confirmation by (Iran) that not only if the dates are right, but the location is acceptable," Crowley said in a regular briefing.
