A crucial conference of the ruling party of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is under way in Pyongyang on Tuesday to elect the party's highest leading body, the Minju Choson newspaper reported.

According to the charter of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the conference will discuss and decide the routes, policies and personnel changes of the party.
