China Tuesday said it hoped all participants in the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue will jointly work to create conditions for restarting the talks.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a regular press briefing that Wu Dawei, China's special representative for Korean Peninsula affairs, was currently visiting Russia.

Wu's mission was to listen to the opinions and concerns of all parties on the situation on the Korea Peninsula and the six-party talks.

"All parties agree that the continuous advance of the six-party talks and maintenance of peace and stability on the peninsula is in their common interest," she said.

All sides agreed to maintain communications and coordinations on the issues.

Before leaving for Russia, Wu had visited the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan and the United States.

The six-party talks involve China, the DPRK,the United States,the ROK, Russia and Japan. They were launched in 2003, but stalled in April 2009.
