Thailand's anti-government United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) group announced Monday that they agreed with the Prime Minister's offer to dissolve the House of Representatives any day during Sept. 15 to 30 and to hold a new general election on Nov. 14.

The anti-government UDD or "red-shirts" announcement was made by UDD core leader Natthawut Saikua during a press conference at about 06:00 p.m., local time, at the rally site in central Bangkok.

In the night of May 3, Thailand's Premier Abhisit Vejjajiva addressed the nation during a live television program the government is ready to hold a new general election on Nov. 14 if conditions are met.

"I think that if the reconciliation process (is accepted by all sides) and the situation returns to normal, the election will be held on Nov. 14, a goal that the government is ready to achieve," Abhisit said.

Dissolution of the House of Representatives could take place any day from Sept. 15 to 30, Abhisit said.
