The United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) does not reject a reconciliation plan raised by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva a day ago, core leader Veera Musigapong said Tuesday.

However, the anti-government UDD group has demanded four points from the government, including setting a specific date for House dissolution, the core leader said.

The Thai government is ready to hold a new general election on November 14 if conditions are met, Prime Minister Abhisit addressed the nation during a live television program Monday night.

"I think that if the reconciliation process (is accepted by all sides) and the situation returns to normal, the election will be held on November 14, a goal that the government is ready to achieve," Abhisit said.
