South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) are ready to complete the construction of a cross-border optical fiber cable line, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported Tuesday.

Quoting its source in the defense ministry, the agency said the line will be tested for two days as of Thursday and is expected to be opened formally next week.
