Iran's Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani said Wednesday that the United States wanted to deceive Iran in a nuclear proposal, the official IRNA news agency reported.

"Analyzing the U.S. (role) in the nuclear issue shows that there was a trickery in this (deal) proposal (already brokered by IAEA)," Larijani was quoted as saying.

"They (Americans) thought that, using a kind of rhetoric, they can cheat politically," Larijani said addressing a gathering in Tehran, without specifying how the United States has tried to cheat Iran.

The draft deal brokered by International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA) Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei calls for shipping some 70 percent of Iran's low-level enriched uranium to Russia and France, where the low-enriched uranium would be processed into fuel rods with a purity of 20 percent to supply a research reactor in Tehran.

The deal has been agreed upon by some parties involved in negotiations with Tehran, including the United States, Russia and France, but Iran wants amendments and more talks over the issue. "It would be a big mistake if being deceived by the U.S. tactics and smiles assuming that it has changed its behavior and attitudes towards Iran," Larijani added.

"The Americans sometimes utter seemingly friendly remarks and sometimes smile at Iranian officials, but they always hide a dagger behind themselves," he said .

It is a big mistake to assume that the Americans would change their tone in U.S. President Barack Obama's administration, Larijani added.

Iranian officials said Tuesday that the country is not opposed to sending its low-grade uranium abroad, but requires "objective guarantees" on nuclear fuel exchange which means swapping the fuel inside Iran.
