In a telephone conversation with Pakistani counterpart on Monday, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on the Pakistani government to help arrest the terrorists and rebels and bring them to justice, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Referring to Tehran-Islamabad brotherly relations, Ahmadinejad said the presence of terrorist agents in Pakistan cannot be justified, the report said.

Expressing his deep regret over the recent terrorist incident in southeastern Iran on Sunday, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari condemned any kind of terrorist operations in the world, according to IRNA.

Referring to Pakistan as a victim of terrorism, Zardari said Islamabad is seriously determined to fully eradicate terrorism. Both Presidents underscored the need for joint cooperation to uproot terrorism.

Early on Sunday, a deadly bomb attack occurred in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan near Iran's border with Pakistan, killing some 45 people, including a number of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders, and wounded dozens others.

The Sunni rebel group Jundallah (God's soldiers) has claimed responsibility for the deadly suicide attack.
