The Chinese delegation arrived in the host city Wednesday afternoon. And members of the team were given a nice from the organizers.

The hosts arrived at the East China city through high speed rail. The entire Chinese team except the football and basketball teams are now in the capital of Jiangsu province. Unlike other Olympics, the Nanjing Games will not have a medal tally. Therefore young athletes will not be under pressure to get good results, and instead can spend more time enjoying their events and making friends.

During registration, the Chinese athletes received a small present from the organizers, an electronic device containing their personal information. And through the gadgets the participants can exchange info with each other.

"Our main goal this time is to hold friendly exchanges with athletes around the world, and promote Chinese culture. We will form joint teams with foreign competitors in 15 disciplines," Chinese delegation official Chang Yao said.
