China has reacted with regret at the news that the DPRK is banning South Korean workers from entering the Kaesong industrial zone, and calls on all sides to return to dialogue.

Hong Lei, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman, said, "Improving the relationship between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is for the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula. China calls for all parties concerned to remain calm and restrained, return to dialogue and consultation as soon as possible, and jointly seek ways to appropriately resolve the issue."
