Beijing fashion week is in full swing, and a new line of women's wear "Cocoon" has caught the eye of fashion fans. What sets it apart is its promise to mask the imperfections in a lady's figure.

Loose and oversized drapings were the hallmark of Oudifu womenswear, subtly concealing the imperfections of the wearer's body.

Li Zuliang, designer, said, "A person's figure changes throughout the different stages of life, and sometimes it's less than perfect. Our special designs around the hip and arms conceal these imperfections and beautifully present the person as a whole."

While one line focuses on concealing, another new look is dedicated to contrast.

"Rebellion" is the new collection by Chinese born Dutch designer Hu Sheguang. The outfits highlight dark colors and modern and abstract designs with sharp contrasts.

After spending 25 years in Europe, Hu is glad to be back.

Hu Sheguang, designer, said, "The European debt crisis has greatly impacted life over there, so I wanted to show that with a dark themed collection. I also came back because I have great confidence in the future of fashion in China, we really do have a lot of talented designers"

According to Hu, the stage is set for Chinese designers to show off their talents to the world, all they need is courage and perseverance.
