Safety concerns regarding China’s high-speed trains sky-rocketed after the fatal crash in Wenzhou back in July. 54 bullet trains were recalled in August due to operational problems. After thorough safety inspections and modifications, some trains are now ready to resume operations. The first recalled train to resume departed from the Chinese capital Beijing on Wednesday morning.

After a three-month process of modifications and repeated tests, previously reported problems with the CRH380BL trains have all been fixed.

The first trains left the tracks from Beijing to Qingdao.

Six of the 54 trains resumed service on Wednesday, and all the recalled trains will resume service by December 6th.

Yang Mei, Train Conductor, said, "Today marks the first day of re-operation of the train. Safety measures have been improved in the compartment and stability has been largely improved. Previous problems in the operational system have been solved. " (OUT)

Though most of the passengers didn’t know it was the first recalled train to resume service, they said they felt assured about the safety measures.
