Remember Tinkerbell, Paris Hilton's little Chihuahua? How about Shunsuke? Probably not, but the nine year old Pomeranian, born in Japan, is proving to be an internet hit here in China. Though he doesn't have a famous owner, his popularity has been great for pet shop owners.

It's more kennel than catwalk for this fashion model. His sheer plethora of fans and videos on the Internet is a testimony to his charm.
It's good news for pet shop owners, as more dog lovers yearn to have their own Pomeranian. And with an average 800 yuan price tag, it's not to be sniffed at.
Miss Wu, a dog buyer in Jiangsu province, said, "Shunsuke makes me want to buy a dog. I want to buy a dog as cute as him with some grooming. "

Mr. Han, a dog buyer in Jiangsu province, said, "My girlfriend likes Pomeranians. She saw Shunsuke on the Internet and loves him very much, so I want to buy one for her."
A strict beauty regime is a must for budding Pomeranian owners, especially if they want their pooch to be just like their canine icon.
Chen Jiaojiao, pet shop owner, said, "The price for yellow-colored Pomeranians has increased as Shunsuke's popularity has grown. Prices increased from 700 yuan to over 1000 yuan, while the price for white ones is higher."
According to the pet shop owner, her reservation list for Pomeranians is already full, so if you come knocking on her door, you're barking up the wrong tree.
